Campaign Types, Pricing & Tracking
Everything you need before you launch a campaign — what each pricing model means, the minimum bid on each, and how conversions actually get tracked.
1. Campaign Types & Minimum Bids
Every campaign type has a floor price — you can bid higher, never lower. This keeps publisher payouts meaningful and stops the marketplace racing to zero.
| Type | Full name | Minimum bid | Use it when… |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPI | Cost Per Install | $0.05 | You want app installs — Android, iOS, or a PWA add-to-homescreen. |
| CPC | Cost Per Click | $0.01 | You want traffic to a website or landing page, not necessarily a conversion. |
| CPA | Cost Per Action | $0.10 | You only want to pay for a specific in-app or on-site action — signup, purchase, level completed. |
| CPL | Cost Per Lead | $0.05 | You want a form filled out — contact details, a quote request, a demo booking. |
2. How Campaign Approval Works
1. URL gets validated
We live-check your app/website link before you can move to the next step — publishers never get sent to a dead page.
2. Tracking gets set up
Use our own tracking link, or point us at your MMP (AppsFlyer, Adjust, etc.) for your own attribution alongside ours.
3. Admin reviews it
Every campaign sits as "Pending" until an Admin or Super Admin approves it — keeps the publisher-facing offer wall clean and legitimate.
3. Using ADJODO's Own Tracking Link
This is the default and requires no setup. Here's what happens under the hood:
- 01A publisher requests your campaign — we generate them a unique link:
adjodo.com/api/tracking/go/<unique_code>/ - 02A user clicks it — we log the click (IP, device, timestamp) and redirect them straight to your app/website.
- 03The click passes fraud checks (duplicate IP, bot-like timing) before it's counted as billable.
- 04Your wallet is debited your bid amount, and the publisher's share is credited to theirs.
4. Using an External MMP
If you already track installs with a Mobile Measurement Partner, you can add your postback URL when creating a campaign. We'll still generate our own link for publishers, but your MMP link is stored for your own reporting. Common macros each provider expects are shown below — check your MMP's dashboard for the exact syntax.
AppsFlyer
Most widely used MMP for mobile app attribution. Supports both S2S postbacks and SDK-based tracking.
?gps_adid={gps_adid}&idfa={idfa}&click_id={click_id}Adjust
Strong for gaming and app re-engagement campaigns, with built-in fraud prevention rules.
?gps_adid={gps_adid}&idfa={idfa}&adjust_click_id={click_id}Branch
Deep-linking focused — good fit when the install should land the user on a specific in-app screen.
?gaid={gps_adid}&idfa={idfa}&click_id={click_id}Kochava
One of the older MMPs, popular for its raw-data export and custom fraud rule-sets.
?device_id={gps_adid}&idfa={idfa}&click_id={click_id}Singular
Combines attribution with marketing-spend reporting across multiple ad networks in one dashboard.
?gaid={gps_adid}&idfa={idfa}&click_id={click_id}These macro names are standard across the industry and publicly documented by each provider — always confirm the exact format in your MMP's own postback setup guide before going live.
5. Click IDs, Sub IDs & Postbacks
Each visit creates a new UUID click ID. The publisher link code identifies the publisher and offer; it is never reused as the conversion key.
ADJODO persists sub1–sub5, IP, geo headers supplied by your edge, ISP, user agent, OS, browser, language, timezone, referrer, device, fingerprint, tracking domain, and timestamp. Configure your MMP postback as:
Use an HTTPS tracking domain managed by an Admin. Your CDN/proxy should provide trusted geo headers; ADJODO deliberately does not block the redirect path on a third-party geo lookup.
6. Publishers: How Sending Traffic Actually Works
You got verified and matched to a campaign — now what? Here's exactly how a link turns into earnings.
One link, one campaign, one type
Every tracking link you get is tied to exactly one campaign, and that campaign has one pricing type — CPI, CPC, CPA, or CPL. There's no such thing as a link that pays out on both CPI and CPC. If you want to send both kinds of traffic, you pick up a separate link from a CPI campaign and a separate one from a CPC campaign, and run them side by side.
Declare your traffic source
When you grab a link, you'll pick where the traffic is coming from — in-app placement, website/blog, social media, push notifications, email, or paid ads. This is visible to the advertiser and to us. It's how everyone can see conversions are coming from a real, declared channel, not an unknown source.
Where the link actually goes
- • In-app placement — embed it as an offer inside your app's offerwall or rewards screen.
- • Website/blog — drop it into a relevant article, banner, or comparison page.
- • Social media — share it directly, or link it from your bio/profile.
- • Push notifications — send it to a subscribed user list you already have.
- • Email — include it in a newsletter or campaign to your own list.
What we — and the advertiser — see on your traffic
Every click and install against your link shows up, in real time, three places: your own tracking link log, the advertiser's campaign dashboard (clicks, installs, fraud-flagged count, your declared channel), and our platform-wide traffic log. Nothing is hidden from any side.
